So today is Chinese New Year and one of the largest festivals in the lunar calender. Chinese New Year was again never such a huge thing in my family so we don’t really have any traditions but some of the ones that I’ve heard of are the typical house cleaning and maybe a little more peculiar, bathing with orange peels as a ritual for good luck. But the red packets are always good which bring us prosperity and of course money.
This year is the year of the horse. Typically, horses are cunning, adventurous, cheerful, social and competitive, however they can also be impatient, selfish an stubborn. I’ve found that it is often the case that people born under the year of the animal have the traits of that animal but of course it isn’t always true. But in any case, I want to wish all of you dear readers a happy and prosperous year with good luck and fortune in all that you do. HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!
