You all thought you got away from the Valentine’s thing now that it’s over right? Wrong. I wanted to reflect on it so here I will do.
It’s been three days since the holiday of love and I can safely say it was one of my favourite days of the the year so far and not because I had the typically expected Valentine’s day where one goes out on a date to a movie or something and is given flowers, cards and chocolates no. Like stated in the previous post ‘Love Letters’ I was never the kind of person to get depressed and sad because my relationship status remained ‘single’ on a day like Valentine’s because for me, it was never about couples. For me it was just a day where everyone could showed their loved one that they were indeed loved in the cheesiest way without getting laughed at. (Even though perhaps I would laugh if that happened to me, I just love cheese.)
And the day I spent, I spent doing the things I loved with the people I loved. Not to mention I leveled up in my bakery skills which, yes, included a large tub of butter but not as much as one might assume when making, three different types of cake (brownies and red velvet cakes) and pastry (Chinese egg tarts). Specifically catered just for Valentines since all of which were favourites of those they were intended for.
So on that day, I did spread a lot of thick buttery love and it would be an added bonus if anyone I knew got that warm, moved and fuzzy loved feeling of butterflies too. But, there’s always a but. Just because Valentine’s day is a day specifically used to show love to others, it is not the only day that could be used. Personally, I believe that every single living day should be a day to spread a little love because in this world, there could be so much more. So make someone’s day and spread a little of that buttery love just to make someone smile.
